It is a family story and, as the title indicates, the director tells us that budgeting and proper financial planning are essential in any household.
Kushboo-Livingston, Kanaka-Vivek and Kovai Sarala-Vadivelu are all
neighbors. The 3 husbands are mechanics in Madras Motor Co. and all 3 are drunkards,
spendthrifts and irresponsible. They have a huge debt, borrowed to make ends meet. But
they feel that sending their wives to work would bruise their ego. 
Oorvasi-Nasar is a model couple, both working and planning well for
their children's future. When the 3 husbands lose their jobs, Oorvasi helps the 3 women
get appointed in the garment factory where she works. This pisses off the 3 husbands and
from then on starts the "neeya naana" challenge. The husbands get more and more
out of control and get into trouble with the police and finally everything gets resolved
when Kushboo's daughter is diagnosed with a heart problem and the 3 guys are not able to
come up with the money for her surgery. Jaiganesh (the garment factory owner) helps
Kushboo with the money and the 3 men learn their lesson and vow to be more responsible and
plan properly with their income.
The scenes where the husbands ill-treat their wives reminds you of the movie "Kaalam Maari Pochu" especially Kovai Sarala-Vadivelu scenes. Nasar has absolutely no role in the movie, other than just cook and wash Oorvasi's clothes. Kushboo and Livingston have given a good performance. Kanaka looks nice and slim. Worth watching with the whole family.
